Reporting directly to the President of Plaisirs Gastronomiques, the Key Account Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and retaining the company’s strategic customers. The incumbent acts as a trusted business partner to ensure customer satisfaction, drive sales growth, and maintain long-term business relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts, primarily English-speaking customers;
Deliver a high level of customer service and maintain long-lasting business relationships;
Identify growth opportunities with existing customers by presenting new products and developing new business opportunities;
Plan and participate in strategic meetings and commercial negotiations;
Coordinate customer requirements with various internal departments;
Conduct regular follow-ups on customer performance, forecasts, and evolving needs;
Negotiate, manage, and optimize promotional programs and initiatives in accordance with budgets and the annual calendar;
Proactively resolve customer issues and ensure timely follow-up on all matters;
Prepare various sales reports and analyses.
Are You Interested? Here's the Profile We Are Looking For
Degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field;
Relevant experience in key account management, with mandatory experience in the food industry;
Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a consumer packaged goods (CPG) environment. Experience managing retail chains or major accounts is considered a strong asset;
Bilingualism (French and English) is essential in order to communicate with English-speaking customers;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong presentation abilities;
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously;
Customer- and results-oriented approach;
Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills;
Knowledge of SAP is considered a strong asset;
Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite;
Availability for occasional travel.
