Plaisirs Gastronomiques is a Quebec-based company specializing in the production of prepared meals and ready-to-eat food products. Reporting directly to the President of Plaisirs Gastronomiques, the Business Development Manager plays a key role in the company’s growth by developing new markets and contributing to the expansion of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with prospective customers and strategic partners;
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key players in the food industry;
- Develop and implement growth strategies aligned with market conditions and company objectives;
- Present new products and develop listing opportunities with prospective customers;
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences;
- Participate in commercial negotiations and prepare customer proposals;
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure project feasibility, follow-up, and successful execution.
Are You Interested? Here's the Profile We Are Looking For
- Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Account Management, or a related field;
- Relevant experience in business development within the food industry or the consumer packaged goods (CPG) sector;
- Good knowledge of food retailers, distributors, and chain accounts is considered an asset;
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a similar role;
- Knowledge of SAP is considered an asset;
- Bilingualism (French and English) is essential in order to communicate with English-speaking customers;
- Proven ability in prospecting and developing new customer relationships;
- Strong capability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities;
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills;
- Strong results orientation and focus on sales growth;
- Ability to build and maintain long-term business relationships;
- Self-motivated, proactive, and strategic thinker;
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
- Availability for occasional travel and short business trips.
